CHOOSING THE RIGHT PAIR OF SUNGLASSES

CHOOSING THE RIGHT PAIR OF SUNGLASSES Choose lenses that block 100% of UV rays. Go with frames that provide the most coverage to reduce light coming in from the side. If glare is a problem, select polarized lenses for the best protection and comfort.

Different lens colors have different benefits: Red, rose or amber heightens contrast; good for partly cloudy days. Copper or brown blocks blue light and heightens contrast. Green slightly improves contrast and maintains color balance, soothing to look through. Yellow or orange filters the most blue light and heightens contrast; good for skeet and target shooting and night driving. Blue or purple improves contrast, contours and color perception. Gray reduces brightness overall, doesn’t alter colors, usually feels darker than other colors. Some of these lens colors are not available in polarized.
